Trust me.there are no unusual conifers to be found in ND. I've had a lot of fun and picked up some neat plants in Iowa. I have been visiting them and they take me to all the neat conifer nurseries and take me around to conifer gardens in the area. Do you still have them out on Youtube?ĭave, I've been fortunate to have a few friends that have conifer gardens in Iowa. Will that work for you?ĭax, quite awhile ago you used to have some videos on grafting but I don't see them available anymore.

I won't send any cuttings until maybe the end of January. Dax, please send me an email and I will be more than happy to send you cuttings from my Abies veitchii 'Glauca'. Don't pay attention to front door, still need to figure out what color I want to go with since it's a paintable door.but wood is gorgeous with any color siding you choose! Beautiful house, enjoy!! Different style home, but you can see how the different exposures, sun/shade all play a part in how it looks. I love BM paint, but we went with a SW color because the factory that was 'finishing' our siding was using Cabot paint and could not match the color we wanted (tried a couple times). Their bases and tints make many of their colors hard to match. Gray can be tricky! My second best advice is that if you are going with a BM color, make sure that whoever is painting it is actualy using BM paint. My best advice with whatever color you go with, however, is to get some poster boards and paint some samples that can be put outside in natural light so that you can see how the sun affects it at different times of day and different exposures (N-S-E-W).especially if you go for gray. Their Boothbay Blue in "real life" looked much different to me than the pics I found online, and their Iron Gray was too dark for the 'cottage feel' we were going for.

We did a Hardie siding in a factory finished custom color because we were going with gray. Thank you.I actually love a white house, and yours would be gorgeous in white.also allows you to accent with any color under the sun.
